Ashley was referred to me by an existing client for a creative dance photography session, and from the moment we began chatting about ideas, I knew this shoot was going to be special! As classically trained ballerina, Ashley wanted to capture her technique and movement in a way that felt both elevated and artistic…and also a little unexpected!

We began with timeless, beautifully lit ballet portraits that highlighted her strength, lines, and classical training. Then we introduced flour (yes, flour!) to dramatically emphasize her movements. The way it caught the light and followed her movement created bold, dynamic images that feel powerful and expressive. These are some of my favourite dance photographs to date. Images that truly showcase both technical ability and her artistic presence!
